Question about Computers & Internet
Check to make sure that your router is compatible with the card installed in your acer. If your router does not support what the acer is putting out then they will never work together and your only option would be to buy a new router that would be compatible with all your equipment. Hope this helps.

3. In the "Network and Internet Connections" window, click on "Network Connections."
4. Once in Network Connections, right-click on the wireless connection then select "View available wireless networks"
5. If the wireless network is a secured network, please refer to the manual of the wireless router to make it unsecured for the purpose of testing the wireless network.
NOTE: Acer does not recommend leaving a wireless network unsecured and is not responsible for data accessed due to unsecured wireless networks.
6. If the wireless network is listed, the wireless adapter is functioning properly. If unable to connect to the wireless router, go through "Before you start" at the beginning of this article.

At the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you have a wireless connection icon. right click and view available wireless network...if you see your network there. connect to that network, if secured, then call d-link to verfiy what is your network key. if it is unsecure then you can log on right away.
if that wont allow you to connect then upgrade firmware of router.
