My remote control is busted. I think it si the 4bit NEC microcontroller that has lost the code that was tored in the OTP memory. If any of you have the remote control that works, Im willing to pay. Please let me know.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I own the same model and started having some similiar problems you seem to be having. My chair had a three year warrenty which i couldnt use when it started to stop working, but i called the customer service and was told that this model was no longer being made and that nothing could be done. I called quite a few times trying to get different anwsers but they were all the same. So you may want to consider a new chair. Sorry :(

The real problem is: you bought an inferior, albeit very expensive American designed product. This chair is a manifestation of why this country is in decline. Next time, buy Japanese or European. There's no point in wasting your money like this.

We found a repairman!!
Our 10 yr old EMS-9 Interactive Health chair just stopped working about 6 mos ago. After getting no help at all from Interactive Health, except to buy a new chair (!), we finally found a man who fixed it. It was a pinched wire in the remote. A simple fix. He tried to charge us only $20.00! (We gave him much more, it was worth it) We love this chair! You would think that the company would be more forthcoming with repair options if they want people to recommend their products. Anyway, hope this helps someone else too. If you want to contact the person we found to fix it you may email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll gladly pass it along to you.

The massaging is done by small motors with eccentric weights attached to the shafts. Those motors are controlled thru a very simple control board that in your case appears to have failed.
To fix the chair you will have to access the board and find out why it has failed - at least a basic experience in electronics is required, to perform the tests on the relays and triacs used to control the motors. If you don't posses this experience then all you can do is to check that the power cable, the remote cable and the motors cables that plug in the board are firmly inserted - for everything else you will have to call a pro.
