    1. Have you verified the run stop switch is functional? 2. Have you verified interconnecting wiring is continuous? 3. Have you removed the spark plug and verified it is getting a spark? 4. Does it even attempt to fire? 5. Have you added gas directly to the carburetor? Does it fire? 6. Is the plug wet? 7. Does it have compression? 8. A business card placed the module and the flywheel is about the proper gap. Get back to me with these answers and we'll figure where to go next.

Does it have good compression? Is the muffler plugged? Is the spark plug wet after trying to start? If not, try a little starting fluid in the plug hole, and try to start. If you get a few pops, try resetting the carburetor H and L jet screws each 1-1/2 turns out from CW stops. It should run with these settings. Warm the engine up, then apply full throttle and adjust H CW until it runs fast, but 4-stroking. It should smooth out when cutting. Next, set idle L for fairly smooth idle, yet follow the throttle without lag. Adjust idle speed just below chain movement. Hope this helps.

Saw wont start, getting fuel and spark

Try starting it with the air filter removed. If it starts, clean the air filter. It could also be the fuel filter. If you replaced all the fuel lines, make sure you didn't get the oil line mixed up with a fuel line

My choke will no stay out on my poulan chain saw

Sounds like the choke latching system is not fully engaging if it is the W28 and on the P3516C. Some minor teaking of the latch may be all that is needed.

What is the ratio of gas to oil for a 35cc engine

Mix 3.2 ounces of Poulan 2-cycle air cooled engine oil to one gallon of fresh unleaded gasoline to obtain the recommended 40:1 fuel to oil ratio.
Over a period of time oil will separate from gasoline. To properly insure oil and gas mixture, I recommend thoroughly shaking your oil and gas mixture before refueling your unit.
If the saw is to be stored for longer than 30 days - drain the fuel tank, re-tighten the gas cap, and start the unit and let it run until it stops.

are you sure you have spark? check that first then check that the mixture screws are set right. you say the carb is cleaned. did you put a kit in it or just take it apart and clean it reusing the old diaphragm?

Chainsaw cranks but wont run,new plug, filter and fuel filter.less than two years old

Take the spark plug out (gapped 0.020") and test for spark--it should be blue and snappy. If ok, pour a little fuel mix into the plug hole and try for start--if pops several times, then you have fuel delivery problems. If none/weak spark, then remove the starter assembly and side cover over the flywheel. This will expose the ignition module--set the pole gap using a thin business card for a gauge. Turn the flywheel so that the magnets are under the module poles, insert the gauge, loosen the module screws and allow to contact the magnets. Recheck for spark--if still bad, replace the module. Back to the fuel delivery problems. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Hope some of this helps!

My poulan predator dies after it gets hot, about min., then will not restart until it cools off.

Remove the spark plug and check for snappy, blue spark when the saw quits. If nothing, try a new plug. If still nothing, remove the flywheel cover to expose the ignition module. Remove the ignition switch wire from the module and try for spark again. If still nothing, replace the ignition module. Use a thin business card for a core gap gauge with the flywheel magnets under the module--insert the card into the gap space and allow the module to contact the card and magnets. Tighten the module screws, then rotate the flywheel to release the card. Rotate the flywheel one complete turn to make sure the gap doesn't close up further. If you got good spark in the first test, then place some fuel mix in the plug hole and try for start--it should pop several times. If it does, then concentrate on the fuel system. Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Check the fuel tank vent in the cap for plugging. Hope some of this helps!

Poulan saw wont start has spark and fuel

Look for a pinched/bare stop-switch wire (I assume that you don't have spark now). Also, check the ignition coil core gap to the flywheel magnets (I use card stock to set the gap). Make sure the plug wire was not damaged again.
