Check for a cold water supply problem, since cold water is used in the rinse. The failure to completely rinse out soap suds is a symptom of this type condition. Remove the water supply hoses and check the water inlet valve (especially the cold water side). Check the small metal screens inside the water inlet valve openings. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. The solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Spinning cycle

Keeping in mind that the soap & bleach gets dispensed into your wash on the second to last rinse cycle and that most all rinse cycles are in cold water. Is your cold water valve screen plugged causing your washer to rinse poorly? Are you using the HE detergent? If not maybe the washer is sudsing up to much and having a hard time rinsing all the suds and bleach out and leaving the clothes soapy.

Fill the washer up with no clothes in it on a cold/cold wash setting does it take a long time to fill the washer up? Also when it is full and agitating is there suds in the washer?

Last suggestion is if the drain is hose is a lot higher than the top of the washer it might have a hard time draining out all of the soap water before the next load

Water fills 20" on was cycle, rinse cycle fills 8". Clothes coming out soapy or really wet

it indicates that the pump is not getting power when on the spin cycle
it could be a blocked hose to the pump, faulty pump( obstruction in impeller of pump) or failed program board not connecting the spin cycle to the pump and water control solenoid.
best have a service technician check it out.

I have a Maytag Atlantis MAV6200AWW. It often does not empty out the tub when it is finished, and the water is still soapy after it is done. If I turn it back to spin it does and drains ok.

If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump.

Soapy water left in bottom of tub.

This is usually caused by a cold water supply problem, since cold water is what is used in the rinse. Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve (especially on the cold side). Make sure they are clear of rust and debris. The solenoids can be tested using a mulitmeter or ohmmeter. Test for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Washing machine leaves clothes wet and soapy

most lightly the draining system is not working or not working effective enough, take the drain hose out at back lower till it is below bottom of the drum ,if water freely runs out ,there's a possible restriction in the pump impellor or pump has failed,if water doesnt flow freely out at a low level there is a blockage in pipe work

Kenmore washer series 80, Clothes still soapy

If you are getting no water spray during the rinse cycle that would cause the soapy clothes issue.

Are you getting cold water during the wash/rinse cycles? If you have the machine set to warm/warm you may only be getting hot water while the final spin is calling for cold.

If you have cold water available then the timer is not calling for the water spray. The problem is either in the mixing valve or the timer.
