I have a Andis AGC 2 speed clipper and it keeps shorting out

I have a Andis AGC 2 speed clipper and it has started shorting out while I am grooming, It depends on how I am holding the clipper. When it is facing down it turns on but when I hold it up or turn it on its side is shorts out. I have a LIMITED budget and I can't afford to buy new ones right now. Any other options on fixing them??

No need to replace the clipper they are usually well worth repairing.
This sounds like a problem with you power cable they are just under £10, try moving the cable in different directions around the rubber strain relief coming out of the clipper.

whilst pushing the release button (latch) you must also pull the front of the blade away from the clipper.

Blade not staying on tight

If you can pull the blade away from the clipper without pressing the blade release button then either the hook on the Latch is broken (which will mean all blades have the same problem) or the blade socket on the blade may need adjustment or replacement. Please view the part in question Latch

Moser max 45 won't cut

Most common cause will be the blades have gone dull and should be sharpened or replaced. Check that the 2 screws on the blade latch assy are tight where it screws onto the front housing, blade off to check them. 3rd thing to check is for excessive wear in the lever that drives the blades, if it is worn replace it.

My clipper smoked and now it wont run at all

Sounds like your motor went out. You might as well buy new clippers for the price to fix them. One thing that causes that is when you spray your coolant to not hold your clippers blade up. Keep them blade down. The coolant can run into your clippers and burn them up. You only want to use grease inside your clippers.

Andis Super 2 Speed AGC Clippers - The blades get very hot !

Buy some Kool Lube (Oster) or Andis Blade Coolant. Both are aerosols. Your 2-speed runs faster, so your blades heat up quicker. Check them often by touching them to your inner wrist, and spray them when they are hot. A bonus is that the sprays also disinfect! (FYI a hot blade can badly burn a pet, so make sure you keep them cool)
