Gfci trips heater not turned on

GFI is Ground Fault Interrupter (or GFCI - Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) It is doing its job, telling you that there is a short in the unit or wiring. Have a certified electrician check the wiring and unit.

Blow electric circuits

First, check all of the outlets on the circuit breaker that is being tripped to see what's plugged in. Look at the nameplate information for each piece of equipment, including the coffee maker and right down the Amps rating. Add up the amps. If it exceeds the breaker current rating, you will either have to unplug or turn off something else in order to run the coffee maker, or plug the coffee maker into an outlet on a different breaker.
If that is not the problem, you probably have a short circuit inside the coffee maker.or bad insulation on the power cord. Unplug and unload the coffee maker. Carefully inspect the power cord. If there are cracks or breaks (pay special attention to the plug and the point where the cord goes into the coffee maker), then replace the power cord. It's tempting to just tape over broken insulation, but if the insulation is deteriorating, it's not worth the risk.
If the cord appears to be OK, then remove the bottom cover plate and inspect the wiring for both heaters. If there are signs of arcing between connections or wires, clean it up and repair the wiring as needed (Note: carbon tracks burned into plastic are short-circuit paths. These have to be dug out like a dentist cleans out a cavity in a tooth. Epoxy is usually a good filler.). If there is contamination from a spill, clean it up thoroughly using a damp rag if necessary (do not immerse in water). Wipe everything dry, then wait a while to be sure it is dry. Reassemble and test. If there is a water tank leak into the electrical compartment, you will have to evaluate whether patching or replacing the part is feasible.

Hoover primera washing machine keeps tripping electrics when tured on.

Possible that there is higher current drain which trips off the circuit. This can be due to moisture or dampness in the circuit , coils or the motor. You need to remove the top panel and dry using a dryer. check the connectors, check the main line , the motor circuit. Isolation of the motor or the heater can confirm the short if the circuit stays. Check the main power to the panel and allied circuit for possible capacitor leak or short.

A GFCI detects shorts in an electrical system and isolates power to prevent that device from harming other components upstream. GFCI's do go bad so that possibility exists. However, I would recommend trying to plug in your refrigerator into another outlet in your kitchen that has a different GFCI plug. If it does not trip then the GFCI needs to be replaced. If you do not have another available GFCI outlet and you plug it into a regular outlet, your breaker for that service line MAY trip. Better off testing with another GFCI. If your second GFCI trips, then the problem is with your refrigerator...meaning you have a short in your refrigerator. If you think this is something you can troubleshoot...BE CAREFUL!!! Always unplug your refrigerator before going into the components of the refrigerator. One thing you can do is turn both the freezer and refrigerator temperatures OFF or to their lowest setting. Plug your refrigerator in and see if the GFCI trips. If it trips you have a major short...probably in the bottom of the refrigerator. If it does not trip, turn the freezer temperature on first and see if it will run without tripping the GFCI. If it runs, then turn the freezer temp OFF. Then repeat the process testing the refrigerator components. Ice makers have been known to generate shorts in the system as well. There are various ways to troubleshoot a fridge. If you do not have the required electrical troubleshooting skills then PLEASE call a service technician.

Our tap leaked and water got into the electrical part of the machine which now will not turn on. We have allowed it to dry out, is there a switch we can flip to reset the circuit breaker?

Inside your breaker box usually its marked. If not check breakers to see if any are tripped. If non seem tripped your going to have to go one by one. Plug light into outlet to see if it works first. If it dont proceed to test each breaker individually. If it does light up than you have a problem with your washer not the outlet. Also if you have a meter to test the outlet to see if you are getting power. Please contact me back and let me know if the outlet has power. Also please include Make and model of washer also model number of washer. Thank you

.In case nothing happens that s the time you need to contaft the TV repair shop on your area .

No power. Will not turn on

Not intended to offend;
1. If using A/C (house electrical power), please check if electrical wall outlet is active. Attempt to plug-in another electrical device such as a lamp, clock, radio, etc.. If the electrical wall outlet has top and bottom plugs, try the top and then the bottom plug to see which one works. Sometimes, the top outlet will not work, yet the bottom outlet does work. The wall outlet should be replaced by qualified technician.
2. If both outlets do NOT work, and the outlet is GFCI breaker protected, maybe pressing the RESET switch on the outlet will power-up the outlet.
3. If the outlet is NOT GFCI breaker protected, check your electrical fuse box for a tripped fuse. Sometimes, a tripped fuse is NOT visible. May have to trip the specific fuse or all fuses to off, then back on. Recheck the wall outlet.
4. Once your know the outlet is live, check the power cord (a/c adapter for laptops) to make sure they are securely plugged-in to both the wall outlet AND the PC or Laptop.

Will need more information once the above steps are taken:

Is it a Desktop or Laptop?
Make and Model (if known)?
Any lights (glowing) on the desktop or laptop?
Any lights on the A/C adapter if its a laptop?

Everstar portable ac 10000 btu

The everstar 10,000 BTU unit will require a dedicated 115 V 15 amp circuit. if there are other things pluged into outlets and running from the same breaker then the 15 amp breaker will trip. Or, these units also have a GFCI plug adapter. Be sure it has not been tripped due to an improperly grounded outlet, or wet location.

What does E1 mean on the led?

E-1 Ok i just fixed my HWR 08 XC___ these things should work on most all touch panel models. Note some slight skills required. Ok 08= 8,000 btu 06= 6,000btu exct "size"Ok Code E-1 = electrical problem "yes"
Mine first started had to be set low and read a lower temp than the room "coils dirty" then week later it showed E-1 and an hour later would trip the plug breaker. Root cause Dirty Coils "evaporator inside" can get ice from reduced air flow making ice n water n throwing drips. when to much of it floods electronics box and faults main to E-1. -drain clean and use remote. ok now to fix other stuff "unplug" remove filter and front cover 2 screws side 2 under filter. Do coils look cruddy ok, sprayed my coils with "gunk engine cleaner" with unit on side so electrics were up and rinsed with thumb over hose for fan spray from two feet away, now though you must first remove the snap in control panel "squeeze tabs and then its metal mount cover for its internal plug 2 screws one is in foam seal then lift and pivot."has tabs" don't wet the electrics or the plug breaker " "see the silver cans in the electric box"capacitors they hold a high voltage charge" stay away. Ok now clean and spray off the rear outside coils. then when done, tilt and and then u must even flip it over till all water is out, "Yeup i got wet too" dry electrics for an hour with hair dryer on low and then dry control panel back side on low 15 mins, now exercise touch buttons gently then dry them again. air dry assembled unit a day in sun to be safe
The cause of this "not so fun project" is plain old dirt and water build up a shure sign of this is unit seems to vibrate more or rumble "crud on one side of fans from stopping in puddle when unit is off and drain is clogged or unit not level or slops to inside.
Now with every thing dry, use a ground fault outlet first to test how dry you got it, and have a Firemen and a Paramedic helping you...Now hold the on button and plug it in. "good luck" if no go try any units remote most are quite similar...PS remember the E-1 unit most likely still works fine

Automatic document feeder does not work-- does not pick up paper

as soon as you load the original on the ADF you get the message as original loaded..check if you get this message..
if you do not get this message..try cleaning the rollers with the lint free cloth(dry cloth)..try to make a copy..if its still the same..
then connect the printer directly to the wall outlet..and then check..
if its still the same then try these steps..
1)unplug the power chord from the back of the and hold OK and CANCEL button together..
2)while pressing these two button plug in the power chord to the back of the printer..
3)after you plug in the power chord do not release those two buttons untill the screen goes blank..
4)once the screen is blank release the buttons and then turn on the printer..
5)then try to make a copy from the ADF..if its still the same..then machine should be replaced..
let me know if this has worked..
