You need to eject the SIM from the top of the iPhone using a paperclip; straighten paperclip, insert into small hole, and push down gently. the SIM holder should pop right out, and you can swap out the SIM card from there.

Iphone

is it supported? and it also might be that the sim card is unreadable or damaged. try using it on another iPhone and if the problem is with the sim card then get a new one but if its the phone then try restoring it or take it to apple to see if it needs a sim card slot repair

IPhone 2 displays no service when I put my SIM card from a different phone.

the phone is locked to your sin only. apple made this so if the phone is stolen it will not work with another phone. if you are changing your sim you need to do this. Press home volume down and power when phone comes on take finger off power then volume then home. plug into itunes and restore software after it has installed click on new this will wipe phone to new after you can put your stuff back on with itunes all apps and contacts that have been saved to itunes. with your new sim installed

Hello My iPhone 3g 8gb is stuck ,, http://i54.tinypic.com/xlcmy0.jpg '' like that ... Please help me I have no glue what to do .

It seems your iphone was restore or reset. It needs a activation, you won't be able to open your iphone springboard or menu.

Simply follow this procedure.

* Insert your activated simcard on your iphone

* plug your iphone on your computer using your iphone usb cable,be sure you have i-tunes installed on your computer, and wait until the itunes recognized your iphone.

* After the iphone has been detected, a message on your itunes comes out that you need to activate your phone,on the otherhand,a process takes place, you will see a message on your iphone "Activating", just wait until the process is done.

Now you will see the information of your phone in itunes as well as take a look at your phone now that is already activated and comes out the springboard or menu.

IF you need to jailbreak your iphone that meets the firmware version and the baseband, just look at my TIPS link and for sure it's gonna work easy for you.

SIM card not supported in itunes

what you need to do is put your iphone in recovery mode then wait until itunes reconizes your iphone. it should say itunes has detected a iphone in recovery mode choose restore and that should take care of the problem, (if you backed up your iphone b4 you updated it) and if that doesnt work your still in luck because the dev team put out a new jail for 2.2.1 n lower try jailbreaking it using quickpwn hope this helps

Iphone 3g 8gb Officially unlocked sim error problem

the new sim card is connected with having an iphone account. when you say it is officially unlocked.
does this mean that AT&T unlocked your phone?
what i think your saying is that if you have 2 sim cards, one that is in use and the other is a spare you cannot use both. at the same time.
the sims are standalone, to use a spare sim it has to be activated by the carrier, thus disabling your original sim.
when you change sims you will need to reboot the phone that will not change.
