Ensure that you are using Audio CD Recordable , then just set recording mode from mic input.
This unit will not record if it does not detect an audio recordable cd.

I have an old Pearlcorder S802 and the funtion is very good. I miss a letter 'how to use it? F.i. How you can start a record ? You need a microphone ? Did yoy have that for mee?

The microphone for this recording device it based on the old standard, not the present standard that is metric. You will need to obtain a modern universal microphone and find an adapter that will make it work. For example, if it takes a 3/8 inch microphone input...you will need a 3.5 millimeter microphone output and an adapter with a 3/8 female input with a 3.5 millimeter male output. Good luck.

B2 Pro left stereo channel is Mute

This is not a stereo microphone. There is no left channel. If you are recording into a stereo input, you need to split the input into two mono inputs, and record each channel as a mono track.

When I record vocals with stereo setting it always records left more in favour of the right. Is there a way to fix this?

Your microphone is a mono input (one), therefore recording in stereo is not practical. Stereo inputs are left and right (two inputs). Whatever your recording setup or audio workstation, the track you record to from your microphone needs to mono.

Can I record in stereo via the microphone/line-in jack? On the the Sigmatel interface when Line In is selected, I get no signal on either Audacity or Sound recorder software - but I do get a mono signal...

The input-level from a (monophonic) microphone is MUCH less than the input-level from a device (cassette player?) connected to the (stereophonic) LINE-IN socket.

So, crank-up the slider, to amplify the input.

Make sure that you're connecting into the LINE-IN port, if you want to record in stereo.

How do i record from both speakers?, my vocals are only coming out from the left side.

The G-Track is a mono-microphone, but your computer recognizes it as a 2 channel device because of the input connector on the side. You need to go into your computer's sound control panel, locate the G-Track microphone and change it to a 1 channel device. Alternatively, you can use advanced recording software to take the left channel input and manipulate it however you want.

Headet and desktop microphone problem.

first check if you have the right drivers on your computer for your audio, if you have audio like mine go to realtek audio manager it should be right beside the clock, then click on the top right corner it says device advanced settings it opens another box that gives you options for recording like tie up same type of input jacks, ie. line-in or microphone,as an input device. and it has another one separate all input jacks as independent input devices you could try one of those if you have realtek audio manager theres other options to that might help and if you dont have that go to recording devices and see if your mic is working properly and if its set to default device

Samson G Track USB Mic

To get sound in both channels in Garageband for a podcast using the G-Track Microphone:    select a voice track to record into    make sure the Track Info window is open (blue i button in lower right region of screen)    at the bottom of the Track Info window you will find Input Source:    Change the default setting of Stereo to Mono 1 (USB Audio CODEC)
This assumes you have gone to Garageband preferences and changed the Audio/Midi settings for audio input to USB Audio CODEC which appears when you plug in the G-Track Mike

How to record audio using microphone input

What is the Make / Model of your Laptop? Depending on this, there may be an internal Microphone built into your computer you could use. If not, I can also show you how to specify windows use the "Microphone" as the input device.

Typically Laptops have 2 input selections "Line Input" and "Mic"

Line input is for use when you want to say.. Hook your ipod up to your laptop.

Microphone is a little different, as the input looks like the same as the other Line Input place, however the Microphone port provides power to whatever is plugged into it, which will cause problems if you plug anything other then a microphone into it.

And vice versa, if you plug a microphone into the "Line In" port, the microphone will not work, because the "Line In" port does not send out power to the microphone. Inside Windows Audio if you click 'Options' then properties, click on the recording tab, after this, make sure all the available check boxes ARE checked. Click OK. Then Find the MicroPhone Slider bar, Make sure it is towards the top, and also the checkbox marked "select" is checked. Then go back to Options - Properties - Click Playback, and ok.

Any other information you could provide will make for a better solution I will follow up on.
