Question about Computers & Internet
WHAT DO I DO TO IMPROVE THE VIRTUAL MEMORY ON MY DESK TOP SINCE IT IS LOW?
Virtual Memory by default should be 1.5 x your actual memory installed. to make it larger you can increase your overall memory....
OR just right-click on My Computer, and select Properties. It will open a window called 'System Properties'. Click on the fourth tab on the top called 'Advanced'. Click on 'Settings'. It will open a new window called 'Performance Options'. Click on the second tab called 'Advanced'. On the bottom right there is a button called 'Change'. Click it, it opens a new window called 'Virtual Memory'. You will see three buttons called 'Custom size', 'system managed size', and 'no page file'.
If it is on system managed write down the number it has.. then choose the button 'Custom Size' and make it a bit more, like 2048 initial and 2048 maximum. If it is on custom size already, just increase the number by multiples of 512..... like 512, 1024, 1536, 2048, ect.

Right Click My Computer > Properties > Advanced Tab > In Performance Panel, Click Settings > Then Advanced Tab (In the New Dialog-Box, that appears) > At the End you will see Virtual Memory Panel > Change/Increase it Accordingly.
I Hope this Solves your Query, This was for Win Xp, if you got some other Operating System, do tell me.
