I had this problem once when I set something too heavy on the top of the unit. Pressing the n/p button on the remote worked.

If the screen is riolling, then you have lost the synch pulse. That is caried either through the yellow wire is using composite video or the green if using component. Check the cables first. If it is not the cable, return the unit under warranty.

Press the n/p button on the remote control that came with the unit. This button is between the previous and stop buttons.

Hopefully I am understanding your description of the problem properly. There are black bars running vertically or horizontally in the picture.
A defective lamp cannot cause this problem. The part that causes this symptom is called the “light engine”. The light engine is what creates the picture that you see on the screen. This is a symptom of DLP TVs. Specifically, the parts that cause this symptom are the DMD module of the light engine or the DMD itself. The DMD is a chip made of million of micro-mirrors that move to create the picture you see. All of this technology is very sophisticated and should only be left to a trained TV technician.

Wavy horizontal lines across the screen

It sounds that the main power supply section to your TV has the fault. The horizontal thik lines that appears crawling down across the screen should be of video 'HUM'. Have you replaced the main filter capacitor at the power supply section? If not, replace it along with the main rectifier. The AC power is rectifed by a bridge and applied ot this main filter capcitor. It will have a capacitance value between 120 to 350MFD 450VDC. Check this section. Measure the rectifed DC voltage acorss this main filter capacitor. It should be around 350VDC, if your home power supply line is 220VAC. If it is 110AC, this DC voltage will be around 165VDC; and it should be. If rectified DC voltage found lower than the input AC voltage, replace the rectifier bridge. In some sets, this bridge section have four diodes. Some other circuits, a bridge rectifier stalk may be used.

Screen rolls and jumps

look at the back of your tv and see if you have anything in relations to verticle hold or horizontal hold. it would look like a round piece with a flat to put a flat screwdriver into . this way you can adjust your screen etc.

hi it sounds like a capacitor in the verticle circuit located on the main board. it is near the verticle ic. the verticle ic also could be bad the cost is around 85 dollars for a tv shop to fix. sometime a cold joint could be found around vert ic. a soldering iron is required with solder.tap the side of tv if picture comes back it is just cold solder joint.

Buy the way I wants to check the filter capicitor in the verticle and horizontal cct. I guess it is C 615 (25v 2200mfd) If it is not please guide me to the right capacitor. Thanks
