When i join a server in Counter Strike on LAN, Non-Steam Version....my game hangs...in the task manager a see Counter Strike as Not Responding and another application Debugging Assertation Failed also not responding...plz help
If you are facing the problem when you join the server to play counter-strikes games, then it may be the server problem. I would suggest you to play Counter-Strike games on CSGO GAMBLING because here you can find the list of websites, which provides the platform to play this game. I also prefer this site to play this game because here I can find an excellent server to play this game.

First of all you must be logged into steam, in the games library you can install and add games.
I would say your version is either not a valid paid license or not up to date.
If steam is up to date and key #s are valid make sure to set the filters in the internet server browser to the game you want (or all) then click refresh.
Hope this helps
You need a steam account, all you have to do is sign up with Steam (which is free). However, if you have downloaded this game, chances are it may not work because majority of steam users actually download their games via steam (they pay using a credit card, and are then able to download a fully certified legal game). I would suggest signing up for a Steam account and trying to play. If that doesn't work, there are a few ways you can by pass it. ONLY playing LAN games is one. (Or in this case, pretending to only play LAN games.) You can do this by: 1. Downloading Garena, Hamachi or Leaf. These are programs that let you play LAN games. (Supposed LAN games, because actually you're playing internationally, just like if you were on a console, but you are tricking the PC to thinking it's a LAN game, as well as fooling the game itself.) I would suggest downloading Garena as it works really well and has the major mainstream PC games. (Plus it is easy to use.) Just go here: http://www.en.garena.com/main/
They will give you instructions on how to download Garena, create an account, as well as other information you need. Hope this helps!
Ping is based on your distance from the server, and that's it.. Nothing you can do to make it any better.. You can try game booster to help with the game performance, but still won't help with the ping.. Just choose lower ping servers to play in..
This error message indicates that the game server which you are attempting to connect to is unable to contact the Steam Authentication Servers.
Please observe the following process to determine whether the error is a result of a Steam outage, issues with the game server connecting to the Steam Authentication Servers, or an issue with your internect connection.
Try joining several different game servers - if you are able to connect to a different game server, there is an issue with the game server which reported the Server Verification Failed error
If you are not able to connect to any game servers, check the Steam Status page - if the Steam Players and Game Servers graph shows a very sharp decline in players, there may be a temporary Steam outage
If there does not appear to be an outage, check your connection to the Steam Authentication Servers through the Steam client:
From the main Steam window select File then Settings
Select the Internet tab
At the bottom of the window, confirm that Steam is reporting the Steam has successfully connected to the authentication servers. message
If Steam reports that you are not connected to the authentication servers, please exit and restart Steam and, if you are unable to connect to the Steam Authentication Servers upon logging back in and you have confirmed that there is not an outage, please see the Router and Router Firmware Issues topic to ensure the issue is not related to router firmware which is incompatible with Steam
go into the game its self then there will be a lan button or newserver click that start a new server it will give you and ip then your brother can go in to consel (~ button) and type conect(enter the ip)
