Question about Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera
The motor that opens the door is not very powerful.
Dirt or stickly residue can easily stop it from opening.
If it is not a major build-up you should be able to use a can of compressed air and blow it out or a damp (not wet) cloth to wipe it off.
If the problem is deeper in the camera then you will have to have it professionally serviced. You should be able to find a service center by calling Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON.
If this helps please vote for my solution.
