Your burning smell might just be lint which has been loosened by you, getting onto the dryer's heating element. If this is the case, the smell should not last long, nor will it damage the dryer.

My maytag dryer takes almost 2 hours to dry 1 load of laundry

I would try cleaning out the dryer lent from the exhaust duct from the dryer and also the duct to the outside of the house. Lint also collects inside the dryer. It may worth cleaning out behind the lint filer through to the exhaust duct.

My Bosch wtl6304 condenser tumble dryer keeps indicating empty filter light and bleeps rapid. It warns me twice like this then trips the thermostat out. I have cleaned filter, washed the condenser out and...

never really heard of a condenser model dryer before however it does seem like internally its full of lent inside of the dryer housing itself around the heating elements if you have a large air compressor open it all up and spray air into everything in the dryer where you see lent build up this will force any lent out of the dryer and it should hopefully run as the day you first got it ;P found this to be an issue even with an LG TROMM dryer i opened up and wasnt drying very well

I have a stackable washer and dryer the washer works but the dryer when I turn it on it starts and the drum starts to role then it cuts off and I can smell a burning smell I am so tired of washing clothes...

a number of things but first unhook the electricity and take the back off the dryer look for burnt wires ect... it can be plugged with trash lent ect clean out the dryer including the blower wheel housing follow the vent to the housing that is it. Also the next biggest culprit is the elect motor its self if its bad you can order one from the company that made it or a number of companys on line(they will be cheaper) good luck and replace your belt while you are in there.

Kenmore 70 series clothes dryer. will come on then cut off, there is a burning smell before it cuts off.

You should inspect for lint57802a1.jpg01ca649.jpg919ad45.jpgfab1e75.jpgad69bd2.jpg9328776.jpg Might be a locked wheel or idler, Could be the belt is broken. No way to know without checking. Unplug the dryer and take it outside if you can. Remove lint from vents.
Remove lent from inside. Use HVAC quality Zoomspout oil45bc4a7.jpg to lube the rollers and idler0015e3d.jpg More here

Lent seems to be going all over the house. The lent is very fine almost like dust. The discharge vent pipe is not leaking.

when was the last time you cleaned out the dryer?you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, remove the vent line from the back,if it's a long run blow it out with a leaf blower to clean it out, before you blow it go outside and make sure the duct where the flapper is isn't blocked with anything, and then vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,you should do this once a year so the dryer works properly and your clothes will dry on time

Not drying completly seems not alot of lent on lent filter

Your rear connecting exhaust vent must be removed and cleaned out.
If it is the flexible vent material it must be un-kinked or mashed when reattached.
Run a 50 minute timed dry cycle with the vent completely off.
If the load dries OK,the connecting vent is the problem.

Drying is low

It could be the thermostat or excess lent inside the machine. There is a ducting system inside that goes through the fan and vents to the outside. The blades in these fans can get clogged with lent and cause this problem. I would suggest to start simple and remove the top and front panel to thoroughly clean the inside before replacing any parts. hope this helps. Good luck.

Dryer has heat..but very low temp , takes forever

Make sure that your vent pipe is completely clear of excess lent. It will not dry properly if the venting is not running freely. If the unit is cleared of lent, inside and out, the only other possibility is the thermostat is not reading correctly.
