Need driver update for gtx285 as driver detective says there is an updated version

Is the message from the device you have in the pc, some programs are on automatic update's to find the latest drivers, if the pc runs ok dont update. It might exualy be a virus. do a housecall search on the pc. https://www.trendmicro.com/en_us/forHome/products/housecall.html

You might have installed the wrong one or an outdated version. You can install a 3rd party software like RadarSync which can automate the driver detection and update mechanism. You don't need to look for the right driver or update manually because the software will do it.

Actually its depend on pc operating system. Before Windows XP version need to usb driver but from xp and the earlier version no need for usb driver. It detect automatic if you connect a removal device. So i suggest please update your pc operating system Or update your mp6 firmware driver. Then try it again. It will be solve.

When you say the device is not getting detected in the computer. Then i'd say first check for the latest firmware version in the device. I suppose the latest firmware for R devices is 01.02.165.
Also please check for the WMP version, it should be 10.

Please check whether the device is detecting in My Computer and Windows Media Player.

If the device is detecting in My Computer but not in Windows Media Player, then you need to run the HOT FIX which is available from the microsoft website.

If the device is not getting detected in the My Computer, then you need to check for the MTP driver update. If you want to update the MTP drivers, make sure the device should be in PFS (Plays For Sure). In order to check for the settings, Press MENU, go to SETTINGS, go to USB MODE there you will find PFS or RHAPSODY.

After you update the drivers please unplug and restart the computer. Once the computer is restarted connect the device and it will pop up the message and follow the on screen instruction.

Still if you have any issues please revert.

Try also to do windows update while the camera is turned ON and is connected to the computer. Windows update automatically searches for updated drivers on Microsoft's database.

you need to update your driver to match the operating system you are running on your computr. If you also have an older version of paintshop you need to remove it before updating the driver. you can find the driver to match your program in the link below

Download one of the many driver updater tools around. They will scan your PC for hardware and installed drivers. In all free versions you can at least see the hardware, so you can let it identify the webcam.
After that you can manually look for a driver from the manufacturer (or update from the program, but then you probably need to pay).

There may be no driver required for vista for the USB access to the camera.

However the manuals indicate Roxio may provide updates for photosuite. No assurances there are that either link to provided software is applicable to your version however generally updaters will not update the incorrect software. There is also no notation that these are or are not Vista Compatible.
