The pair with wires exposed can connnect direct to your HiFi speaker inputs in the normal way.
Make sure your HiFi can handle the impedance of the speakers. The impedance of the AIWA main speaker is 6 ohms and the surround speaker 16 ohms.
My Sony HiFi can handle 6 - 16 ohms and the supplied speakers( one bass and 1 tweeter ) were 6ohms.
After connecting the AIWAs to the Sony the sound is awesome. I have only connected the exposed wires and am sure that the sound is coming from all 5 speakers within the box.
The bass and treble are fantastic at full volume and the sound is crystal clear with excellent stereo effect. As for the wire with the connector on the end, i think this is for the surround feature (although they look like bass wires)
One pair goes to bigger speaker (woofer) and other pair for smaller speakers in box, to get full frequency response, you need to hook both cables.
1 Connect the front speakers.
Connect the right front speaker to the SPEAKERS R terminals and place it on the right side of the unit. Connect the left to the SPEAKERS L terminals and place it on the left side. The speaker cords with the white stripes go to the + terminals.
