I have a lexmark c500 printer. I had a bad

I have a lexmark c500 printer. I had a bad cartridge that was leaking and replaced it with a new one. My sensor still says that the cartridge has 10% life left and the waste toner bin is full even though I emptied it.

Yes they are clean but the new cartridge still says only 10% left. We are worried that the cartridge will quit with 90% still left in cartridge. Also, can a bad cartridge cause damage to the sensors?

How can i refill 28 & 29 ink cartridges of lexmark z1320 inkjet printer

You can get a refill kit at walmart, but you can only refilled 2 or 3 times before the cartridges are considered to be non-usable anymore, and don't hold pressure or leak.

I would recommend using genuine new lexmark cartridges on lexmark printers for maximum performance and reliability (and quality) even though it is more expensive.

That's what the manufacturer recommends.

Good luck on getting new cartridges installed on your printer.

Can't install Lexmark C500 printer on my macbook pro. my O is snow leopard (10.6.3)

Unfortunately, the Lexmark C500 printer's support ends up to Mac 10.5 operating system only. There's no available driver for Mac 10.6.3. That would explain why you can't install the printer in your computer. Hope I can assist you more on this.

If you are using a cartridge that is not a factory new Lexmark cartridge, then I have bad news for you.Lexmark printers have intelligence in them to protect them against product tampering. Using non Lexmark cartridges or refilled cartridges is considered to "Tampering" by Lexmark. Please see the "Supplies Warranty Statemen" on the Lexmark web site: I ask is that you do not shoot the messanger on this one!Don

Lexmark Cartridge Error

Are you using a Lexmark factory new cartridge? If not then please try a Lexmark factory new cartridge.

Lexmark does not support the use of third party cartridges or refilled cartridges. Lexmark considers this to be product tampering and will void the printer's warranty if damage occurs because of the OEM cartridge.

Please don't shoot the messenger for giving you bad news. It is the truth!

Refilled lexmark no.28 cartridge wont work

Fixed problem by buying new cartridge.
If any help to others I have been advised that lexmark fills the cartridges with powder and if filled with ink printer may not recognise new level. Ink may leak.

Thanks again

Lexmark C500 printer SVC LL ERROR, SVC L1 ERROR

As i'm sure you already know the error means - Laser power is lower than the output limit.
It's probably due to a bad contact on the engine board. If you would like the service manual it can be downloaded from the following link free of charge any problems come back to me.

Lexmark C500 Error light showing, with New ink cartrige inserted showing toner low replace cartrige on machines display? Help!! thanks

Remove the cartridge, take a flashlight and check the right side inside the printer for a RED LED (in the place where the cartidge stays). Take a tape and patch that LED. That's all ! Enjoy

If you open your printer front and pull out all the toner cartridges, on the left, you will see 4 LED lights vertically in a column that match up with 4 matching red light receptor sensors on the right side. Each toner cartridge has a tiny window on each side. When the toner powder level drops below the window level, a light passes all the way through the cartridge from the LED light to the light receptor and trips the printer to display the low toner warning.

The goal is to BLOCK THE LIGHT. The easiest way is to put electrical tape over the window on the right side of each cartridge window. To ensure you have the proper hole, just shine a flashlight in the hole and you will see the reflection from the tiny plastic window.
