Question about Refrigerators
Guys, I need advice and any help will be appreciated.
I have Jenn Air model JCD229Key. I think it has restricted/plugged
system. I have troubleshooted it so far that I know 100% that
compressor, thermostat and fans are working fine. I need your help to
figure out where is the system plugged. When i fire it up it, compressor
starts buzzing and working normally. There are two pipes that lead from
the compressor to evaporator (one is thicker and another one is thin
like toothpick) These two pipes start freezing(frosting) immediately but
the thicker pipe starts to defrost, and first two evaporator
lines/circles (look like coil)- they are frosted/frozen too. So you can
wipe off the frost with finger but hey freeze immediately - but nothing
above that gets frozen. THANKS
The system carries oil around naturally but sometimes it will pool up in the evaporator area causing a restriction at the restrictor/capillary tube. the fix is to recover refrigerant flush the restrictor tube with nitrogen replace the drier evacuate the system and recharge with recomended amount of refrigerant.
