DESCRIPTION
REASON/ SOLUTION
F01
The battery voltage is still under 10V (for a 12V battery) or 5V (for a 6V battery) after 2 hours of charging.
Could be caused by trying to charge a 6V battery on a 12V setting or charger, or the battery could be bad, have it checked or replaced.
F02
The charger cannot desulfate
the battery.
The battery could not be desulfated, have it checked
or replaced.
F03
The battery was unable to reach the "full charged" voltage.
Could be caused by trying to charge a large battery or bank of batteries on too low of a current setting or the battery may have a shorted cell. Try again with a higher current setting or have the battery checked or replaced.
F04
The connections to the battery
are reversed.
The battery is connected backwards. Unplug the charger and reverse the connections to the battery.
F05
The charger was unable to keep the battery fully charged in maintain mode.
The battery won't hold a charge. Could be caused by a drain on the battery or the battery could be bad. Make sure there are no loads on the battery. If there are remove them.
If there are none, have the battery checked or replaced.
F06
The charger detected that the battery may be getting too hot (thermal runaway).
The charger automatically shuts the current off if it detects the battery may be getting too hot or the battery may have a shorted cell. Have the battery checked or replaced.

There is a battery inside which may need to be replaced. To check, run the compressor (it runs off the battery) - if the compressor dies quickly, then the battery has failed to charge and would need to be replaced. You may want to check your Warranty Management software (or shoebox) to see if your Starter/Air Compressor is still under warranty - if so, replace it. Duralast products are carried exclusively by AutoZone, Inc. The Duralast web site: www.duralastparts.com is useless - it only shows automotive parts, and I cannot find the product at www.autozone.com, so it seems that AutoZone fails to support this product with replacement batteries or other replacement parts (or even an online Users manual).
My Duralast Gold Jump Starter Model BP-DLG will not take a charge. When it is plugged into the charger it shows fully charged; when I unplug it it goes dead, will not start and the red light shows. I have used it about 4 times in less than two years.
Measure the output voltage of the charger without the battery--it must read several volts more than 19.9 volts. If ok, then the battery itself probably needs replacement. Tool batteries seem to die fairly soon if they are made up of nickle-cadmium cells. Contact: www.primecell.com for their rebuilding service with lithium cells which hold charge much better and deliver greater endurance from each charge. In many cases, the original charger will work with a lithium battery. Hope this helps!
a charger of the wright polarity and volts (12-14.5volts) that can charge at say 500ma and fits the charging scocket in the power pack will charge your power pack up ok
