Question about Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
Hi, My name is Paula Bell and for the last two days I have gotten an error message everytime I try and log onto the internet. Then the program won't close. I have sent "error reports" but am not sure what else I can do. I am sending this from our other family computer which obviously gets connected. My laptop says that it is connected and the signal is strong. We have a wireless router and this laptop has been connected to this system since I got it in November 2008. I am hoping you can help as I coordinate volunteers for our local soccer program and we have a tournament coming up in 10 days and as you may guess, 99% of my correspondence is done by email. Below is the info I took off one of the error notices. Thank you, Paula Bell
try out these.
1. get in to add or remove programs. remove all tool bars and desktop softwares.
2. open IE options by typing inetcpl.cpl in run command . goto advanced - click on reset.
3. if it still doesn't work check in safe mod with networking( hit the F8 key when the computer is booting it will take you to advanced options hen select safe mode with networking) . if it works fine there get back to normal mode remove security software especially norton or symantec.
4 . if same problem insafe mode, uninstall and reinstall.

If other programs run ok, you might have an I.E problem. A quick fix is to download-NOT INSTALL Firefox (a different browser) onto someone's PC, put it on a thumbdrive, move it to your pc and install it. It will copy all of your favorites and such and will get you up and running. the error usually means a registry file is trashed, which would mean recovering your O.S. If you recently installed a program or did a microsoft update they may be the culprit and you could run system restore and pick a date that was previous to the date you added software. This will set everything back to it's original condition.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
