There is a button with the picture of a garbage can...this is the delete button. Bring up the picture you wish to delete and press the button...follow the on-screen instruction. If you've downloaded all the pictures you want to save to your computer, you can erase the entire card and optimize it at the same time by formatting it in the camera.
