My Xerox 425DC has some problem, the image move

My Xerox 425DC copier has some problem, the image move away when copy, how to fix this problem? by the way, I want to buy a repare manual for Xerox 425DC copier, anyone who want to sell it please contact me at 312-929-9186

The printer says the scanner is locked and won't print or copy. How do I Unlock it.


OK this answer you won't like,
For one there is no scanner lock on this device (not sure why the machine generates an error pertaining to that), 2nd and I assume you already tried turning it off and on and no improvement.

What the error really means to tell you is there is something wrong with the scan head movement or sensor. When you make copies there is a scanner head the moves over your original and captures that image, chances are if the reboot of the device doesn't fix this then your scanner head has come off the rails , kind of like a bicycle chain coming of your bike it must be put back on to move the bike...

You need to get the scanner head put back on the rails, This will require a Xerox trained service technician to repair, if you don't have a maintenance agreement on the PE220 you may want to call Xerox or the person you bought the device from to see what your options may be, may be too costly to have someone come onsite to repair ...????

Xerox 425dc service code


Hi.
The 425 dc error code refers to the department code assigned to the printer.
425 means that you have entered an invalid department code.
to fix this, you need to turn off the department codes
To do this, press the menu button so that it says machine defaults
then use the arrow down scroll button until you get department codes, then press enter
Scroll down to select off, and then press enter again.
Now press the features button to return the printer to a ready state.
You should now be able to print on the copier again.

First of all clean the platten glass, also the narrow glass to the left of the platten glass. If the lines are still there after doing a copy,open the upper left cover and look at the fuser heat roller,the lines could be from a toner contaminated heat roller,this can be cleaned with a minerised scowering pad.with the copier switched on press the Key button then # 1 1,touch Enter on the touch screen.touch HSFI tab,scoll down to copies on cru and enter, if the count is above 20,000 the fault could be the cru ( copy cartridge) needs replacing as it is not cleaning the drum.
There is not a USB port on the 425 dc. If the copier has a ESS on top of the engine ( you should see a floppy disk drive slot on the front of the copier) it means it has been converted to a 425 ST, if not it will cost a to much to convert. A xerox 425 ST will connect to a computer. Xerox ST copiers means Networked

425DC is a Digital Copier and it cannot be connected to PC, it only can copy, but can't print.

My xc356 copier prints dark lines on the copy, toner has been replaced


If it is just with copies, then you have either dirty optics or dirty glass which you must clean. However, most likely the problem is with the imaging drum. If you are able to remove the drum, I suggest cleaning it with soft cloth or rag, then reinsert and see if the problem persists. If the issue does not go away, then I would suggest having a technician coming out and seeing if you need the drum replaced.

You probably needs some servicing. Drum, developer and other parts have a life cycle and once it's exceeded you can start having copy quality issues. Unfortunately there is no easy fix.

yes, you are loking for border erase function. when you find it then look for what looks like two peices of paper side by side, you will then possible be allowed to adust the sixe of the erased area

We had purchased the machine on 06-12-2007 from your noble institution paying a huge amount of money. It is very sad to say that it is the second time that the copier is not working well and needless to say that there was no necessity of replacing the drum cartridge either. That is to say that we have not taken even 12,000 copies. Within this time we had to replace once HVPS which costs nearly 27,000/- rupees. We replaced it on 11-10-2008.Again we are confronted with the same problem. The machine is not working well again due to the dysfunction of HVPS. It is also very sad that this part cannot be repaired. When we use the copier the copies are not clear and show ?U9? code. And the service personnel from the Trichur Computer Clinic is asking us to replace the HVPS. We had purchased the machine through ?Trichur Computer Clinic? (TCC). And we were not given even 1 year warranty instead they gave us only 3 months; though the warranty card shows one full year of the purchase. Dear Sir, it is impossible for us to pay you another 27,000/- to purchase a new HVPS. To do so it seems like putting one?s own foot into the hole of a snake. We feel thoroughly cheated by you and our trust and confidence in the company is shaken. We hear similar complaints from many buyers and even from the service engineers.
