Re: getting picture from laptop

Look in online user manual for laptop and check for the shortcuts to press to enable the secondary display. The second responce would require me to know what drivers (for graphics card) are you using and the type of graphics card you have (including manufacturer).

Sure can be fixed.

1st of all you need to connect the projector with your laptop turned off. One the laptop has finished booting and loading windows. Hit the Fn+f4 or f7 key to switch between the displays then you will get the display.

But if this also does not give display then you can check with the projector with Video INPUTS (Eg. Input 1 / Input 2 etc.,)

If you push the button one more time to flip the screen it should read properly, otherwise bounce it off of a mirror and adjust the keystone if it is a permanent mount.

Unable to play live tv from lap top to projector

Is it just the live tv or the laptop in general you are not getting a signal from? Using 15 pin VGA cable correct from laptop to projector?
When booted to projector, on laptop, select "FN" key and either F5, F7 or F8 depending on your laptop. Look for the monitor logo on the F keys. This is telling the computer that you have hooked up an additional external monitor (the projector). Once will send image to projector, twice will display on both, a third time will return to just image on laptop.

My YAMAHA LPX-500 projectors start up logo remains faintly visible constantly during operation-any answers?

Hello sounds like you have the logo screen burned into one of your LCD panels. This will be a very expensive repair, seen as the LPX-500 is only an 800 lumen projector, it would be a good time to look for a replacement. I would not recommend spending any money on this unit.
Hope this helps

Hello and welcome to FixYa

you correctly connected your projector to your computer

on your computer keyboard there should be a FN key and the numbers have a little small blue iicon representing something

since i dont know which type of laptop you are using i should assume that this little info is accurately correct

..... now find a number key with a blue picture that looks like a monitor now press FN+that picture

your laptop monitor should blink and the monitor should display something....

if it dosent try that same conbination again (FN+ #´r)

Connecting to laptop

Try changing the refresh rate on your graphics drivers to 60 or 70 hz on both your laptop screen and the projector. Do this at the desired resolutions as well.
