Dont have enough memory to run a program I installed on my hp 4540 machine. The current mb is 68, I need 512. Where to I upgrade at or can i increase the mb?

Hi

Go to www.crucial.com. There you will find help in displaying your exact memory you have now and how much memory can be added to your machine. They even sell the memory - reasonable rates too.

Thanks

I attempted to upgrade the RAM on my HP Pavilion zv5000. (the one under the keyboard) when I tried to turn it on, there is just a blank screen. Any idea what the problem is? The laptop was installed...

According to the link below you can do the upgrade. If is not working, make sure you have the memory seated correctly, then mix and match the memory and switch slots to find the problem memory. It may be incompatible with either the motherboard or the other memory sticks, or just a bad stick.

I need 500 mg ram and i only have 382, how do I upgrade

Your laptop uses the 200-pin DDR1 PC2700 333mhz memory. I think the maximum memory per slot is 1GB, which means the maximum memory will be 2GB (2 x 1GB). The "shared" video will use either a maximum of 64MB, or, I'm not sure on the maximum video memory if you have the ATI RS480M video.
