Question about Nikon 105mm f/2.5 Nikkor Ai-S Lens
I have a lens I need to work on and don't know how to go about it
If you've never worked on lenses--DON'T. There are EXACT positioning criteria involved in disassembling and re-assembling these beasts. Special tools are used for removing spacing/retention rings. Do the prudent thing--send it to a qualified repair facility for service--better to spend a few bucks than to accidentally(and unbelievably quickly) ruin the entire lens unit. I was a camera technician for years and know how difficult it can get!
