Question about Canon MV750i Mini DV Digital Camcorder
First, if the battery was connected to the unit for all of that time it is D-E-A-D. Use the AC charger for power with the battery disconnected if necessary--if everything works, its the battery. The problem is not CCD related at all if you can get an image on either display(not on a playback mode), that immediately rules out the CCD--it provides for *all* displays. However, if you can view using the LCD screen, and still can't use the eyepiece, then there is an internal problem with the unit. Camcorders and cameras don't like to be be unused for long periods of time. Internal electronic components can become defective from lack of use. If you find that your camcorder needs repair, send it directly to a manufacturer repair facility--stores add their own "handling charge" by usually halving the repair quote and then adding that amount to the bill *you* see.
