Sounds like ice is building up near the fan blades. Try defrosting it longer to melt out all the ice and see if that helps.

The water forming the ice may be coming from the water tube feeding the ice tray. Part way up the tube is an opening on the top. If there is an obstruction in the tube, water will splash out of this hole when the ice maker is activated. I had the same problem and found some "black mold/dirt" partially blocking the tube. I removed it with a wooden skewer. Ice forming in the tube can cause the same problem.
