Your Tv Horizontal deflection doesn't work, try to switch ON your TV by remote control or by pressing the program up or down button in the TV set. If still working check the B+ in the capacitor rated 200Vdc. monitor the voltage as you press the program button, it must have a 90vdc , or remove first the Horizontal Output Transistor before you switch on the Tv. Then monitor the Voltage in B+. If it is present your Power supply is good, if not then check the component in Power supply section. if the B+ is present check the horizontal area.

Pls tell me the watt for tv model th-65 pv 500m

The closest thing I can find to your plasma TV is the Viera 65-in model TX-P65VT20E, which consumes 635 Watts. This should be close to the power budget for your unit.

On my Panasonic model th42px75u. no power. When I press the power button, I hear a clicking sound in the power supply area. Checked both fuses. They're good.Thoughts?

Re you getting the standby red light when you switch on the power??????? If not, then I will advise you to check with another power cord which will confirm you that old power cable is defective. If so, check all the connections i.e. power plug, wall socket and the TV end. If all these are OK then the trouble lies with your switch. It is not making contact though it may be giving clicking sound. Have it changed since you have already checked the fuses.

I have a panasonic flat panel tv 1080i. 46" I think. When I press the power button, the red light comes on, then it starts blinking. And the TV never turns on, but the red standby light continues to blink....

the s1 models have been having several problems. it really depends on how many times the red led is blinking. panasonic uses a certain number of blinks to tell you what board has failed. the s1 models have just recently come out. therefore your tv should still be under manufacturer warranty. call panasonic and see if there is a servicer in your area. our company is in dallas texas. Hi i have panasonic Veira model TH-42PX70A my tv has stopped working i have no sound and no picture. when turn on the standby button flashes red. If try to turn on from standby mode the green light appears...

Hello this may be a power supply problem, but my professional guess is that your Y-Substain board has failed. Count the number of times the red light flashes, this indicates the reason of failure of the unit. After which check ur user manual for troubleshooting section, your manual may give you a listing of the number of blinks and what they mean. If you want take off the back and check the fuses on the power supply if one is blown then replace the power supply as just replacing the fuse will just blow it again. If no fuse are blown then have a technician replace teh Y_Substain Board.

The Power Light is Red

yeah, should stay red when unit is turned off, indicating there's power but it's doing nothing.

Per user manual:
Solid red - power off (standby mode)
blinking red - power off (now cooling)
blinking green - power on (preparing to light lamp)
solid green - power on

42" Plasma TV Problem

same frustrating symptoms on brand new 42inch here! tv just turns itself off sometimes without warning or if changing to certain channels. leaves red light flashing for a while then red light goes away. any attempts with remote gives flashing green liht on tv. manual power off and on restarts tv but auto off again. found while manual power on keep changing channel on remote till stable picture appears. then use remote to shut down tv - solid red light indicates standby mode. then use remote to turn on again... till next time it happens. but what is technical fault??
