no its not that.. i was watching a movie a couple hours ago and it worked fine. but i do play my music every morning but i usually turn it off after the cd is done.. do u think my sond is gone because i play my music at high volumes?
Have you recently used headphones in this device? I have a portable DVD player that had a similar problem. It thought that headphones were plugged in and that turned the sound in the external speakers off. If i plugged in headphones the sound worked in them. So I jiggled the headphone plug in while in the jack and removed it and the sound came back on.

I doubt that it is from that. Usually speakers will just blow and sound horrible if you damage them in that way. I don't know what it could be then.
