Good afternoon, Yan!
Wish I could give you better news, but unfortunately, the video card is a part of the motherboard and not replaceable.

Does IBM/ATI Fire GL4 competable with WIN7

Probably not. That is a pretty old card and even with it being on an AGP board you would get better performance out of a newer AGP card. A Radeon HD4650 will blow this out of the water and for only $80
Here is the specs for the Fire GL4

Here is the card I mentioned
It will require a power cord (like one to a CD-Rom or HDD)

Good luck

So which video card do i need? i have 845gl motherboard . before installing this video card (rage XL 8mb pci) my pc plays videos and most 3d game very (even gta sanandreas) efficiently but now it is not...

The ATI Rage XL 8MB PCI video card is a very old and low power video card.

PCI graphics cards are not as fast as AGP graphics cards so if your motherboard has an AGP slot (it's the slot closest to the CPU and is usually coloured brown) then that would give you better performance.

These days AGP has been superceded by PCI-Express but since your motherboard does not have a PCI-Express slot then the best graphics card for it would be something like this one:

Hope this helps, please rate my answer :)

Support UBYTE4N vertex data

The problem is that your card sounds terrible. Either it is extremely old and outdated (in which case get a new one such as the minimum spec requirements on the box), you only have two options. The first is to take the game back, or the second is to buy a new computer or video card that supports the minimum requirements.
It sounds to me like you are using the on-board graphics port, my advice would be to purchase a new graphics card, anything not under 512MB as most of today's games require 512MB as minimum.

Good luck

You need a video card driver, but didn't specify which video card you have. Looks like this -might- be the right one:

I bought a used IBM Thinkpad T20 - is the wireless card built-in

This Notebook doesn't come with abuilt in wireless , so you need to get a wireless adapter for this if you want to make it work wirelessly you can get this one from Linksys WPC54G or WUSB54GC. By the way this is the complete specs of your laptop

IBM T20 2647 loaded with Microsoft XP pro

you should be able to right click on your desktop and select properties and on the settings tab select the screen resolution to atleast 800 x 600, if you cannot and only 640 x 480 is available, the the driver may be corrupt for you graphics card. Go to the link below and download the driver for your graphics from here and install:- Go to my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager and look in the list at graphics adapters, right click on it and select update driver and the downloaded driver should be found, you may see an exclamation mark at the graphics line, this wiil mean there is no driver for the card and by right clicking again on it and select update driver should sort it, reboot pc and see if you can alter the screen resolution.
