Question about Panasonic Cameras
My VSK0651 appears not to be charging my battery for my Panasonic camcorder. The break out power cable from the charger does work so I know the correct voltages are being generated by the charger itself, but the battery does not work after a long time on the charger. The charger pins where bent after a trip away, and now I've striaghtened them the battery does charge, There are four pins on teh charge labelled +, -, T and D.
Does anyone know what the T and D pins do?
I'm guessing that the charger does not sense correctly that a battery is present, or the battery can not signal it's charge level.Any experience/help would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: Camera won't charge
It could be the batteries but my bet is the charger is bad. If you have access to another charger try using it instead. I just had a similar problem a month ago where my charger pretended to work but never really put much of a charge on the batteries.

SOURCE: Motorola E815 - Battery Charger
The E815 has a very poor design on the charger port. The cleaning that Solution #1 referred to is that Verizon cleans the contacts of both the phone and the charger using rubbing alcohol on a toothbrush to clean both the phone contacts and the charger contacts. I have to do this once a week or so to keep my phone charging. The rubbing alcohol dries quickly and will not harm the phone. Motorola has changed the charging ports on the newer phones because they recognize that they have a problem with this design. I have also turned in my phone to Verizon (twice) for a replacement. If you replace the phone be careful to record ALL your contacts because when Verizon transfers your contacts from the old to the new phone the speed dial numbers all get messed up because they start their numbering differently than you had it. I am still repairing my speed dial numbers. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: not able to charge battery
This happened to me also. In the manual it says the flashing light means that the battery/charger needs to be cleaned, or if that doesn't work, it is dead. My husband called customer service and they actually sent us a new battery which we recieved within a few days. The number is 1 800 706 2534.
