First, on the condensation issue, the buildup of condensation is a pretty good indicator of poor air flow/venting. I would check the vent and make sure it isn't kinked or obstructed. Make sure the blower fan is working properly. Insofar as the door is concerned, if the door is not seating/closing properly because the hinges are bent, try this little trick before replacing the door. Take an 11/32" deep well socket (1/4" drive) and place it laying down flat at one of the bottom door corners and slowly apply pressure to the door. Move the socket to the other side and repeat. This will sometimes straighten up bent hinges and fix a crooked door. Anyway, it's something you may want to give a shot before considering door replacement. Sorry for your trouble and best wishes.

Make sure the filters are not blocked and the air exhaust and condenser are not blocked or full of fluff etc, as these frequently cause the problem to occur. Also make sure that the condensate collection tank is not full.

Unless the door is leaking then there is no reason to replace it but if it is really warped then check that the hinge is secure and not bent - you may be able to bend it back - but be careful not to put too much force on it. Failing which just replace the whole door.

Some dryers take fifty forvers to dry clothes if the blower wheel is loose. Usually hear a rattle nd the filter will be warped from the over heating. Once she overheats from improper airflow she shuts down the heat. Takes a long time to dry but it eventually does do it. Replace blower wheel this is on norge style dryers with filter inside door. On other models what Floyd said in his links..

How to replace the assembly door for Delonghi Perfecta?

Take off the back panel by removing the two screws sliding it upward slightly then pulling it out.

Then remove the two screws holding the side panel in place(the side that the door hinge is on). Slide the panel backward and pull outward to remove.

Toward the front of the machine you'll see two screws that hold the digital display panel in place, remove those. This will allow you to push the display panel slightly forward and allow you access to the rod that secures the hinge.

With a needle nose players pull the rod upwards until itt completely separates from the hinge and door, the door will then just come right off.

To put the new door on just align it to the hinge and insert the rod from the top and continue to reverse the process you used to take it apart.

How do you dry on this machine? if you dry on the green, does it completely dry?

The automatic preheat and drying cycle kicks in as the final wash spin is under- way. The system employs a condenser dryer in which the hot air used to dry the clothes is channeled into a drum, instead of being released into the great outdoors via a dry vent hose. Cold water is drawn into the drum at the same time. The two mix, and the result is a condensing process.

The chlothes should be dry. there may be a damp feeling to them but otherwise dry. If your machine is not drying then the element could be going bad, or a thermal cutoff. those would be the easyiest fixes.

The BIG drawback is drying. It takes about 90 minutes to dry a load, and the clothes come out very wrinkled. Because the drum is so small, the clothes don't 'toss' in heated air and don't fluff at all. Clothes also come out stiffer than a regular dryer.

Hi and Welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly

You already have discovered the problem. Lint has built up in the vent / exhaust ducting. Most of the time the through the wall vent flapper gets lint build up on it outside the house and then as that restricts airflow you get condensation in the ducting. The condensation causes the lint to form a cake like paste inside the ducting. THOROUGHLY Clean out your vent ducting from the dryer connection all the way thru the outside wall and your dryer will be fine. If you need to replace the ducting please do so. Ducting is cheaper than the electricity you waste on clogged ducting. You proved your dryer will work correctly when you dried a load of clothes with the ducting removed.

Thanks for choosing FixYa

I have a Bravos clothes dryer and when the cycle is finished, it is very damp, wet and the clothes are not dry. What can I do?

This dryer automatically starts in the "sensor dry" mode. DO NOT use the "sensor dry" mode - use the timed cycle where you manually set the time. The sensor is in the back of the drum, and it frequently misreads the wetness of the clothes, especially if there is a t-shirt or something light in the back and towels or something heavy in the front (near the door). If you are still under warranty, you can have the sensor replaced (or purchase one), but it only helps slightly.

Condensation leaks out front of unit into the house.

Hi, no don't drill holes in bottom tray, to make drain, that's design, you need to keep water there, the fan usually pick up water(moisture) and add to your air inside your home, otherwise the air in your home will become to dry, dry air will create static electricity all over your home, from your carpet to your clothes, you need to level your unit horizontally, put a spirit level, and you should have a slight pitch, from front to back, good luck.

Clothes not drying - fan ok, heat ok

I just had a Miele tech fix this. There are several causes for this. One cause is a motor fault with the fan motor or a bad belt. Second issue is a blocked up condenser. Finally the issue is electronic and the electronic panel needs to be replaced. The electronic panel consists of small relays that can burn out.

My issue was the electronic panel.

To test a blocked up condenser, is to take the top panel off, and spin the fan motor (by hand). If you feel resistance, you have a clogged condenser which must be replaced (Always run 'Remove Fluff' cycle so this never happens after every dryer use).

To test the fan, take the connector off and 'carefully' connect to 220v to the fan motor (checking polarity). Only do this, after you reset the switch (found in the rectangle box in the middle of the Miele metalwork on top) and made sure the fan does not work automatically when a drying cycle is selected.

The most expensive repair is the eectronic module which costs £175 plus £99 Miele callout.

Drying cycle

Is the drying fan rotating(you should hear this)? Or the watertap closed. It uses cold water to make the steam into condense. If tap is closed, the machine has no water to cool the steam with. Check lint filter.

Doesn't spin the clothes dry on the final spin but spins at high revolutions without a load of clothes

I have read that if the pump is not draining the tub completely, there is an interlock that prevents the high speed spin from engagin. I have had debris caught in my pump several times (kids!!) with similar issues. There is a trap on the line leading from the tub to the pump which is "supposed" to capture debris, but it doesn't work all that well. Check your pump.....
