Connect dvd/cd player to GE OR OTHER BRAND TV

This is true, there is no direct output from the player to that model. You can however get a converter. The easiest path would be A/V to HDMI using a converter box made to make that connection. If you prefer, use a different player to connect to that set.

Try switching your cables on the back of the unit (VCR/DVD).

To get the functionality you're looking for you'll need to to take the cable running from your DVR output and connect it to the input on your DVD recorder. Next you want to connect a cable from your DVD recorder output and connect it to your TV. If this is an HD set up you want to use HD Cables for all of the connections.

The S-Video "holes" the tv and the dvd player each have a S-Video.Hook it up with a one black video cable to the S-video to the hole in the tv and the other side to the S-Video in the dvd player.U have a RCA cable have 2 plugs lead each sides have 2 connections one RED,one White lead connections. Plug that RCA cable 2 connections in INPUT holes in the Tv ,and the other sides 2 connections one WHITE,ONE RED to the DVD player for sound.

You need to go get an RF modulator. They can be purchased at Radio Shack or a number of other electronic shoppes for a reasonable price.

The RF modulator connects to the coax cable connector and it has inputs for the RCA connectors.

Most remotes use the same code sets. Here's what Radio Shack says for your brand:

dvd: 0503,0539,0646,0675,0821,1268,1914

vcr:0000,0039,1137,1479

dvd players are usually connected to the tv with a scart lead so it will be on the AV channel, just make sure they are all the way in as sometimes they slip out when you move the dvd player
