If you can access the bios settings,f2 or f10,or whitchever one does that on your model go to the boot section using the arrow keys and move your cd drive to the top of the list, scroll to it with the arrow keys then use the u and d letters on the keyboard to move it up or down ,or some mdls. its the f5 and f6 buttons ,make sure to save and exit or the changes wont stay ,f12 or f10 might give you a one time boot option if it does pick the cd-rom with the disk in and hopefully it will boot,if none of this works, test your disk on another computer,it may have gotten damaged, let me know what happens, and if your able to access the bios" aloha from maui"todd0708

if you have the operating system disk.try booting from it using the boot menu f11 f12 keys then do startup repair in window 8.1 of windows 10 it's much harder. try holding down the shift key while rebooting the computer try booting into safe mode, or do a system refresh from the advanced menu

Boot screen

Try these two things:
1. Go to your BIOS setting by pressing F10 immediately after you switch on your notebook, then select your HDD as your First boot drive and then save changes and exit. If it does not works then follow step 2.
2. Reinstall/freshinstall your Windows OS with a windows OS disc.

Won't read keyboard

usb or ps2 keyboard ? might need to be enabled in BIOS

If you want to use a USB keyboard to access Windows command prompt options, make changes in the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System), or to operate legacy operating systems, you must enable support for the device inside the BIOS.

Shut down the computer and disconnect the USB keyboard. Connect a PS/2 keyboard to the PS/2 connector port on the rear of the computer. Turn on the computer and press the "Delete" key several times as soon as you see the initial boot or company logo screen. Wait for the main BIOS setup screen to appear. Press the right or left arrow keys to move the cursor to the "Advanced" or "Advanced Settings" menu option. Press the "Enter" key. Move the cursor to the "Integrated Peripherals" or "Peripheral Configuration" menu option. Press the "Enter" key. Press the down-arrow key to navigate to the "USB Controllers" option. Press the "+" or "-" key to change the menu option to "Enabled." Move the cursor to the "USB Legacy Support" or "USB Legacy Function" field. Press the "+" key repeatedly until the value option changes to "Enabled." Press the "F10" key to save changes to the BIOS settings and exit the setup utility. Wait until the computer begins to restart and then press the power button and hold it for approximately four or five seconds. The computer shuts down completely. Unplug the PS/2 keyboard from the computer and set it aside. Reconnect the USB keyboard restart the computer. As soon as you see the initial boot screen, tap the "Delete" key several times and wait for the BIOS setup screen to appear. If you are able to access the BIOS setup screen with the USB keyboard, USB support is active in the BIOS.

Ran the Tshibery disk recovery disk. Completed and

Complete the recovery again but leave the discs in the computer. That way if the computer needs some files while rebooting it will take them off the cd....if not it will load and that will be the end of that. Just remember when you boot the computer for the first time to initiate the recovery, when it says to boot from cd touch any key...that is only done one time when you first initiate the recovery...after that do not touch any key if it says that...just let windows boot on it own. Once windows boots on its own, then you can take the recovery disc out and put it away.

Screen black on reboot

start the computer and when the computers splash screen shows (dell) etc. tap the F8 key repeatedly until you see the multiple startup choices. Scroll to "safe Mode with Networking" and select it, you will see the operating system listed as the target operating system, click that (hit enter) start in safe mode. When it boots do you see the screen with no problem? if so then the resolution may be wrong on the normal start up. On the dektop in a clear area free of icons, right click and scroll down to properties, click on settings, then move the resolution slider to either 800 X600 or 1028 X 768. click on yes to change the settings, restart the computer by hitting start > Turn off computer > restart. Reboot it normal mode (just let it boot as you would normally) If you can see the screen, you are all set, if not there is another issue to deal with.

Emachines W3052 Gets stuck on logo screen when starting up.

My computer does a similar thing, the issue with mine is the mother board which requires everything to be at a certain temperature. Let it run on the start screen for a couple minutes and hit the reset button. If it doesn't boot up you're going to have to get more involved with your PC. Turn off the power, unplug the cord from your power supply, open the case, look for the battery and the JP8 (CLRTC) jumper. Move the jumper from pins 1-2 over to 2-3, wait 30 seconds, and move the jumper back. Close the case, plug in the power cord, turn on your machine, and boot it up. If it still fails to boot check that all cables are securely attached (inside and out), check that the RAM is securely seated, and check the CMOS battery to be sure it is not dead. Beyond this you're looking at a component failure and should contact a repair tech.

P.S. if you feel up to it and can't wait for service, pull the hard drive out of the first computer and use it in a different computer. Be sure to unplug the hard drive from the second computer.

My computer wont start, no setup, no bios, nothing...

This is only a stab in the dark but are all your M/board fixing connected correctly
Hard drive etc.
One other way is to disconnect everything from M/board except for Video and memory and try to boot up if it does then connect hard drive etc one at a time rebooting each time until it will not boot that is the wrongly connected one
