Confused in Milliken????

I have an issue with my kodak easyshare c743. I replaced the batteries and now it won't turn on fully. It lights up green and begans the process to on but the quicky shuts down and I don't understand why. And once It does that I turn it off and then on again and nothing, when I pull the batteries out and put them back in It does it all over again. What could be causing the camara to do this??????

The same thing happened with mine - when I changed the batteries for higher power ones the camera turned on but the screen just shows "noise" and now none of the other functions work.

Check your battery power, regular alkaline batteries couldn't power up a digital camera, you need at least an energizer e2 or rechargeable types with high current ratings. Try replacing them with high current batteries and it will completely turn on...

Cannot format my memory card.

Try with a different Memory Card
Try the same Memory card with another compatible device to confirm whether the issue is with the Card or Camera. Please make sure that you're using fully charged battery pack.
Remove the battery and reinsert after 1 minute.
Reset the camera by following the reset procedure from the manual of the Camera.
If the issue persists again, service is required

My Kodak EasyShare C743 digital camera goes through batteries like water. It's gotten expensive and the camera is so unreliable. Any advice would be very helpful! Thank you!

This problem is frequently due to corroded battery terminals inside the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning. Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/repair/troubleshooting/troubleshooting.jhtml?pq-path=6198

It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

A Kodak tech told me to use only rechargeable batteries as regular dry cells do not have enough power and will go dead at the most inconvient time.

Will not operate

Be absolutely certain the batteries are installed correctly. The Kodak C743 battery compartment is poorly marked so that if you don't look at the underside of the flip-out door and see the positive and negative imprints (very faint) you may be installing the batteries upside down. This happened to me as I hadn't used my camera in a long time and replaced the batteries for the first time. Finally, I tried the batteries 'upside down' and it turned on right away.

Kodak EasyShare C743 Digital camra has cracked LCD

Buy a used camera on eBay that has a good screen and change it yourself. It is very simple to do and here are the instructions on how to do it.

http://www.clickondavid.com/LCD7430.pdf

I have done this and it works just fine if you follow the instructions.
