Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions
I bought a rca tv model J25435 27" from a hotel and they gave the original remote, but I can't get to the menu to program the channels. and when I try it on the buttons from the tv, it just says "function disabled". Is there any way to reset the whole thing so I can use the remote and it's options to get all the channels? Or What can I do? I will try anything!
I have your answer, unfortunately.
As these are commercial TVs, they came with a Master and Guest remote. Onlythe Master remote can perform these functions. I have yet to find a way to override this from the panel.
However, a replacement master remote can be obtained for about $30 at http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&smodel=J25435%20MASTER&brand_pn=RCA_J25435%20MASTER&mode=large&uuid=12514079767460.

They must have them made that way so hotel guests cannot change the settings. Maybe there is a reset button on the back somewhere? I don't know of TV's having these. Some dvd players and recorders have them. It could be a small hole too that you have to press the button with a paperclip.
Thats my best guesses.
