Configuation error When I turn it on it displays "Configuration error. Please contact you network service operator or service centre.". When I go to the cingular store they tell me to call tech support and when I call tech support they tell me to bring my phone into the cingular store. It is past warranty and I have no idea what to do.

dont worry,intially when phone get switched on it will,search for service provider,if it fails to search it it will display that text.main thing is u should again switch off and on,then it will alwright..

Do you use your phone as moden when surfing the net?well i think you have to flash the phone to correct all the errors.

you need to get PUK ( personal unblocking key) from your operator. they will ask you mobile number and sim card number (which u can find back side of sim) than put this 8 digit PUK and than it ask for a new pin. give new pin twice.

you need to flash your mobile phone...the firmware for your phone should be .....R4EK001 CID50....you can go to www.topsony.com...but to get the firmware is going to cost a fee.....

You need to flash the phones firmware. You can try the Sony Ericsson Update Service, Wotanserver or take it a place that specializes in flashing or service point. There is no other solution...sorry...

i got sony ericsson w580i. i can't operate my mobile as on screen shows "configuration error. pls. contact your network operator or service centre" i did contact my network operator but confirmed that my sim is in usual working state. i can only listen to call but i cant go to main menu,neither i can listen to song. even i cant able to make call. pleasehelp me
