Question about Refrigerators

Very faint beeping noise about once a minute yet not always on

Bought brand new Whirlpool GC5SHEXNB05 Counter Depth GE Gold refrig back around December. The water filter ran out after 6 months and changed to red. At the same time the refrig started making a strange noise inside it like a faint beep but not really a beep. More like a blip sound or clip with an audible high tone. It happens sometimes a few times in a row and at other times it's about once a minute. It doesn't always do it.
After replacing the water filter I reset the button so it turned back to green.
What would cause this crazy audible blip noise that is obviously not any type of alarm?

Your electronic control in the fridge could make the noise. It could be going bad. It should be covered under warranty. I would call Whirlpool and let them check it out under warranty.
The control is part #6 on this diagram.

Beeper will not shut off

Hello David, I appreciate your post!
Based off my understanding your Frigidaire refrigerator will not stop beeping. Is it beeping due to no power or the door being opened for too long? Is it displaying an error code? Where is the noise coming from? Once you have provided me with some additional information I can further assist you. -Matt

Model TFHW24R the refrigerator is not cold and now the freezer is getting warm. i've cleaned the coils, checked the door switch and unplugged it for 30 minutes. Refrig only gets to about 60 degrees.

First open the freezer and touch the back panel of the freezer if you feel any frost then you have a defrost issue until you can get your serviceman out their this weekend shut off the frig and remove the freezer items get you hair dryer out and thaw the freezer back panel it will take sometime to do so, it would be easier to see just how much needs to be done if you can remove the rear panel then once done it will happen again but (I prefer it to be failed) so I can rule out any and all failings and a serviceman can repair it.

It sounds like a bowling ball rolling around inside the fridge.

Sounds like maybe one of the mounts for the compressor might be bad. The compressor is around the size of a bowling ball and does need the vibration dampened to stop noises like that.

French door refrigerator selections?

size is most important consideration, measuring your opening and and depth(very important), this may narrow your search automatically. furthermore, the Amana,Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, and most of the Kenmore's are all the same manufacture, so the difference on the box will be cosmetic for most part, they all have the same inner workings, the GE and LG are also Identical to each other, samsung is a relatively new brand (so not much i can say about it, other then in my area not a very good support/tech support for.Although im a big Whirlpool guy, there happen to be some issues with the refrigs, especially the fan motors, but thinking they are under control now. all compressor issues should also be taken care of , since they should all be produced in one plant with one consistent compressor installed in unit .and judging a machine for its ice maker(if its one of the consideraions) then its unfair because all refrigs regardless of model(top freezer, s/s, or bottom freezer )all have issues with ice makers.
