Question about LG Dare VX9700 Cell Phone
The back is very difficult to get off. It does slide. You have to push pretty hard. You have to push in, and slide up at the same time. Once that's done it is easy to pop the battery out. To keep from dialing a number you don't want to dial, you may want to turn the phone off until you get the back off. I hope this helps.

Send the phone into LG, they will have there technician diagnose the phone. I have the exact same problem. I took my phone out of my pocket and there was a big crack on the LCD screen. My phone is going to LG Canada today, they (LG) told me it sounds like a manufactures defect.
Hope this helps.
