Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions
I have been given a tv that has had the remote control sensor disabled in the tv. How do I resolder the connections on the main board, and are there diodes or capacitors in the connections. If there are, how do I get the right ones, and what directions to they go? I can't seem to find the model number on the site anywhere. It's a Toshiba 32A36C tv made in April 2006. Obviously there is no warranty on this unit due to someone tampering with this set. Also, how do I get a remote or the universal TV remote code?
If you can't find it under prima look under legend
If not read your manual and depending on the remote you have a option for the remote to find the code by itself
Just have to follow the instuction in the remote user's guide in the place that says "Brand not listed"

You neglected to post the Remote's Make and Model. However, most Univ. remotes allow you to "Scan" the TV codes one at a time. You would do this and watch for the TV to turn off. when it does, you have the code and can store it.

Hold code search until the light stays red
click CHANNEL UP
once your t.v. responds (by the channel going up)
Your remote is now programmed.
