Question about Poulan Wild Thing 2375 18" Gas Chain Saw 2.5 Cuin

Poulan Wild thing 2375 will not stay running

The thing seams like it is running rich and bogs out I cannot keep it running for more than five seconds at a time. I have tried the H/L 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 turns from limit, but what is the "T" screw and where should it be?

Try checking the muffler. Some models have a screen that will get clogged with carbon and the saw won't keep running. Clean the screen with a wire brush.

My poulan wild thing will start but will not stay running without holding the throttle. What should I do?

Get some sta-bil fuel stabilizer. add twice the amount recommended on the bottle for storage to your mixed gas. Empty out chainsaw tank and refill with the new mix. Rub for 2 minutes, then shut off. Remove cover over carb and spray inside carb, soaking it down good and cleaning all internal surfaces visible - allow to sit overnight.
Next day
Spray down carb with carb cleaner for about 15 seconds. Start saw, allowing 2 minutes to warm up and reduce choke. If saw stalls, restart and spray inside carb as it runs with choke on - keep motor at the highest rpms you can as you spray - spray in 2 second bursts, not allowing motor to stall from spray. If it stalls, change sparkplug and try again. You have varnish build up in the carb and are trying to remove it so the carb will work without the choke. This may take some time but it is the exact procedure I used for my Poulan Team Realtree last spring - I spent about an hour spraying and staring before it ran without the choke.
Good luck!!

My poulan wild thing 2375 bogs out when throttle

Make sure that the air cleaner and muffler are not plugged. Check the carburetor screws and nuts for tightness. After turning both needles CW to stops (lightly), back them out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. Start the engine and allow to warm up. Open the throttle and adjust the H needle CW somewhat until the engine speeds up, but is 4-stroking. Correct adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L CW till the engine runs fairly smoothly, but allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Set the idle speed screw so that the chain doesn't turn, but the engine keeps running. Hope this helps!

My pulan wil thing is dieing after I cut through a

MIne was doing the same thing. I cleaned the sponge air filter. That helped but then I poured some combustion chamber cleaner into the carb and that solved it. Now it would idle all day if I let it.

Always measure oil mixture carefully. These saws are fussy and don't like too rich an oil mixture!

Hope this helps!

My chain keeps binding up, i get it back on, start running my wild thing and with in 10 seconds it binds up

Try putting a new bar on it. Sometimes during use the grove in the bar gets a kink in it. This will cause the chain not to move like it should. Also, the sprocket at the end of the bar can go bad also causing a malfunction.

Best bet!!!!!! Buy a new bar...
