Question about Denon AVR-3806 Receiver
I have a dennon reciever and when we had it turned up at a party it turned off.and i dont know if we blewup the reciever. can you give me any solutions for troubshooting thank you doug

If Unit turns on then shuts off ater a few seconds. Dc protect circuit is probably activating due to shorted output transistors. This is very common on Denons. Unless you are a Qualified technician I dont recommend doing this yourself since when outputs short it usually opens up emitter resistors and shorts pre-amp driver transistors also. Not a easy fix for someone who does not do it for a living. I would charge around $125 to $150 for this repair at My shop firstname.lastname@example.org
You may have had to low of Speaker Impedance Probably on the Front ch's or unit just got to hot and amp failed.

Sounds like you may have blown the amplifier output stages. If it won't turn on with the speakers disconnected, it's definitely faulty. Will need expert repair.
