The website doesn't say so for a reason. These frames are incredibly inconsistent with their specs (even those with the same model #). In general, they won't accept over a 1GB drive. Some newer models will accept 2 or 4 GB, but I wouldn't try that with this one.

Their website only states the type of card supported and not the size so I assume there is no size limit. You could try to re-fromat the memory card using windows...maybe something got corrupted on the card.

My hard drive has gone bad. Where can I get another one or at least one that will fit my 7100 series laptop?

Any Brand will do but you need at 3.5 Size hard Drive. It is not like Desktop where you can pop in a Hard Drive. Once your hard drive is toasted you cannot restart your System. You have to install the System (OS) from the Start. Once you installed the Hardisk properly with ribbon and power wires. It is ready to go when you boot for the first time. Go to EBAY and put the Model. You may want to upgrade the hard drive into more storage. Some used laptop stores they sell Second hand. I think, it is by 100.00 per 100 gig. Lower gig may also be lower price. You can get low one and just add external USB hard drive or pocket hard drive.

Mecer wont load wi xp sp2 on 160gig hardrive

Hi,

The BIOS is seeing the drive but your computer can only see about 120-130 GB of harddrive. If the drive has a pin option to limit it's size you may be able to limit it then install windows but if it doesn't you're back to looking for a smaller drive.

Hope this helps

I have the exact same problem.

Fat32 File system is limited to just under 4 GB. I've tried to format using a different file system but no success.

This isn't really a solution but at least it explains what's happening.

Windows says not enough space on pny 8 gig flash drive

Try formatting the drive as NTFS instead of FAT32 (assuming you are using it only on Windows computers). FAT32 doesn't support files over 4GB.

For more info, see http://www.google.com/search?q=fat32+file+size+limit

Sandisk 16 GB USB Drive wont accept large files says disk is full

What is the USB drive formatted as? Look in My Computer then right click the USB drive, select Properties. See what it says under "File System". My guess is the drive is formatted as FAT32. Now FAT32 has a size limitation of 4GB for a single file, which would explain the error. To get over this you need to reformat the USB drive as NTFS. Then it will accept the 6.95GB file. You can format the drive by right clicking it again and selecting "Format" ... choose NTFS from the drop down menu. Be aware that any data already on the drive will be wiped by the format so be sure to back it up before formatting.

Can't load a 13 gig avi file onto wd drive with 90 gigs free

Typically this is because there aren't large enough fragments to load. Run defrag several times and try again. You might also run the cleanup program and remove any temporary files, temporary internet files and anything in your waste basket before you run defrag.

Please let me know how this turns out.

Backup hard drive to an external hard drive

"what the error actually says is, you have either run out of space, or the backup file (.bkf) is too large for this disk. note: if the disk is formatted with FAT32, the maximum possible size for the backup file is limited to 4 gigs."

That error means that the FAT32 file system only allows 4GB files or smaller to be transfered. The chance that the backup file (.bkf) is larger than 4GB suggests that this file is causing your problems. You could try manually copying around that file (selecting all files from that folder except the large one) and see if that works.

Usually you will get many errors copying a drive directly as system files will be inaccessible and whatnot. Your best bet is to limit your copying to "C:\Program Files\" and "C:\Documents and Settings\", assuming you have Windows.
