I tried as suggested with no luck i think maybe a chip is gone bad maybe i could replace do you know which one it would be or where to direct me for info

Hey mate, check to see if the cables are connected to back of the TV correctly, try another TV if you are able too.
How are you connecting the xbox 360? try using the scart cable, see if you have a picture.
