Question about Mtd 22" Yard Machine Push Mower

2 Answers

I removed the carburator from my Murray 22" with Tecumseh TVS90 engine. When I put it back together, I must have connected it incorrectly. It just runs full out no matter where I have the throttle set. I guess the spring and the connector to the governor may be on incorrectly? I don't know becuase I can't find an exploded view of the connectors.

You may already know that Tecumseh ceased business about 2008. It seems Barrett Small Engine has some of the literature on Tecumseh engines & parts. Try this link: http://www.barrettsmallengine.com/tecumseh/parts.html

Hope this helps,

Looking for a manual & parts list for a 13hp Tecumseh Enduro 38506x engine that is on a Murray riding lawnmower.

Try e-bay under your brand of mower or engine, or go to craigslist in your area under BOOKS, if not go to your local Murray dealer who should be able to help you. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

6 HP Tecumseh Engine won't stay running

Sounds like you will need to clean your carburetor.
Sometimes you can get by with priming it a few times, and letting it
run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of the jets,
but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.
If the mower is over a couple years old, then I also recommend that you
buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will
get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, count the
number of turns it takes to seat the jets from their original position.
That way when you go to put the jets back in, you know how many turns
they were in/out.
Please rate me, Thanks
Good Luck, I hope this helped
