Question about Samsung Televison & Video
When it goes black check when pressing the remote if it still displays the menu, channel number or any info that it displays which pertains to the button that was pressed. If it shows up it could be a problem with the source. Check the cables and the port to which the antenna, cable or the player is connected to. It may be loose. Also observe if this happens on all sources of signal such as player, cable or antenna. These steps is to determine if it is the pathway or the source of the signal is the problem. If it is the TV you may want to check the flyback, loose internal connections or solders or leaking capacitors on the TV board.
