you should format your sd-card in your camera. the exact steps you should find in the manual. if this doesn't work your flash-card is probably defective. you need to know, that the number of read and write access to those flash cards is limited (a few thousand times). so it's normal that those cards die after some time.
Does your camera gave a small battery in place somewhere that is used to maintain the date and time settings? (it is generally a watch battery type small flat silver disk.) You should not have to reset time and date after each battery change.
Many digital cameras eat up batteries quickly, especially when using the flash alot., that is why it is important to use good quality rechargeables whenever possible.
this happens when the shutter speed is not correct. set the speed to 1/60 sec.
if the X-370 flash is new it may not be compatible with your camera. with the flash turned on it should set the shutter speed automatically to either 1/60sec or 1/125sec. looking in the finder the shutter speed should not change to various amounts of light. if the shutter speed changes with the flash turned on it is not dedicated to your camera.
mcdevito75 here, The manufacturer recommends you don"t try to change the date between certain hours as this could hurt the date changeing mechanism inside the watch, I don"t think you did any harm (LUCKY) and the date changeing 45 minutes before mid nite is just about right. BUT! if the date change was aliitle closer to mid nite at 1 time you can try to reset the date, here"s how, your stem should have 2 positions to change the date without haveing to cycle the watch the 24 hours 60 times. Slip a finger nail just under the crown and gently, gently lift the crown to it:s first position, it may take a little practise but you"ll get it, once you do, trun the crown and you should see the DATE change, if so set the DATE to 1 DATE before the DATE you want, now pull the stem out and set the correct gate and time of day. Your watch is now reset and date will change on time, around nid nite.
Use your USB cable or a Card Reader. Read your manual to insert Date on pictures. Note date will show on pic and cannot be removed.
Best idea is to downloand you pics asap and change each pic file name to embed date taken in filename, not on the pic itself.
I recomment the San Disk MobileMate SD+ miniature Card Reader for SD and MicroSD card reading. Just a little larger than a Flash Thumb Drive. Saves lugging around a USB camera cable and saves your camera power otherwise needed to power a download via a USB cable. About $15 at RadioShack, Staples, etc retail stores selling cameras.
After selecting flash off mode the camera determine the shutter speed according to the available light which may be rather slow. Therefore either camera shakes or the object or may be both of them while taking pictures. That's why pictures are blurry. Keep camera steady or mount it on a tripod while taking pictures on flash off mode.
Once u set the date & time and select OK I think it will not bother u again.
