I have a toshiba portege m100 with a bios password set that i need to bypass. toshiba want 80 quid just to look at it. some sorces say short clr1 jumper but i cant find it on my machine. please help.

Most DESKTOP computers have a jumper to "clear CMOS settings",
but most NOTEBOOK computers do NOT have that jumper.

The password exists to protect the owner of the computer, should a thief be trying to use the computer.

You probably can remove the disk-drive, and copy the files onto a new computer, if you don't want to pay TOSHIBA to bypass the password.

Re: TOSHIBA company have a problem with Toshiba Satellite laptop model A135-S2246, is enabled in the BIOS password, can you help me to delete from the computer. You can contact me at add....

If you don't know the password to the BIOS - you're screwed. There's absolutely no way to recover it back. You may take it to a computer repair shop or Toshiba Repair place and let them reset the BIOS Password.

After format, I couldn't connect wirelessly to the net, is it the card/adapter or the driver?

That would be the driver.  Make sure to re-install all of your drivers that have a yellow ? next to the name (right click on the my computer icon, and select properties. Find the tab that says "hardware" go to device manager and you will be in the right spot. )http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=SB&os=&category=&moid=1042095&rpn=PSM40U&modelFilter=M40-S417TD&selCategory=3&selFamily=1073768663&selModel=1042095|PSM40U
