I would suggest a liquid dish washing bottle , with 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water . Spray and let sit for a few minutes , then wipe . May have to repeat . This is also good for refrigerator door seals , that get mildew or mold around them .

RS22AQXGW03 needs icemaker cleaned

Hello. Refrigerator manufacturers do not recommend any cleaner for use on their ice makers molds other then wiping the surface of the ice maker with a mild detergent. The coating on the mold can be damaged with caustic chemicals. If you are needing to clean the cube mold on this ice maker because it is flaking or has a mineral buildup on it, the best course of action is to replace the icemaker. Here is one that is fairly inexpensive.

Ice bucket freezes solid so ice won't dispense

You have a failed mold heater in the ice maker, more than likely.

Mold growing around ice dispenser area. Cant figure out how to get to the mold .

Pull ice maker out and clean it. Then make sure you have a fresh water filter on water supply. Mold in the freezer is uncommon if its truly freezing inside. You have dirty water coming in.

There seem to be so many different types of ice cube trays: silicone, plastic, metal etc. What is the best type to buy?

It sometimes is just a matter of taste. The silicone ice cube molds are more flexible and often take up less freezer space but some people don't enjoy the struggle of getting them out of the molds.

Read this article that reviews ice cube trays and gives an opionion on the best ones. For me - I still love the old fashioned plastic trays that don't flop around when you are trying to put them in the freezer;

Ice maker not making ice and how does the silinoid work on the bottom and how can i test it. hose to the ice maker is not clogged

Your ice maker has a thermostat built right next to the ice mold. When the temp gets right that thermostat will power up and tart the motor, and an ice mold heater. when the ice gets loose the motor begins around. After a tad the heater is shut down and the fingers go on around. Near the end of a harvest cycle, before the ice maker gets ready to make another batch, the ice maker needs some water. A tab sticking out of the control rubs against the small copper plate mounted behind the main drive wheel. Sorta like bumper cars rubbing the ceiling. Over time the arcing builds up on that plate and the water valve don't get energized. Sometimes cleaning the plate is all it takes. Nothing else in the icebox controls that ice maker. It is it's own boss. Give it 25 degrees F in the ice mold, a good ice mold thermostat, a good heater, a good motor and a clean plate and that baby will flat throw out some ice for ya. Ice maker stopped working

I would first check around the condensing area for lint and dust buildup and clean that up. Just doing so can sometimes get the ice maker cold enough to start producing ice. Their are 2 components that are responsible for ice production. The ice maker and the water valve. As the ice maker dumps a batch of ice near the end of that harvest cycle the ice maker powers up the water valve for 7and a half seconds. How. A probe rubs on a copper plate mounted on the inside of the main gear. Here is how she works: The ice mold thermostat gets down to around 28f. This makes it close contacts and power up the mold heater and the motor. As the ice loosens up and moves a bit you hear a click. That click kills power to the ice mold heater. The motor continues on around to dump the ice. After the ice goes home to bucketsville the copper plate rubs against the water solenoid probe and water is sent up the backsides of the icebox to the ice mold for 7.5 seconds. If you are careful you can remove that wheel and clean that plate. A simple test and a manual HERE

Whirlpool ice maker (626662) runs water in and freezes but will not eject ice cubes

Hello there
Here is some things for you to check ok
The motor turns the ejector blades which rotate until they contact the ice. Because the ice is frozen to the mold, it cannot be pushed out and the motor stalls. As the blades continue to press on the ice, the ice mold heater begins heating the mold. Once the ice loosens the ejector motor turns, the mold heater shuts off and the ice is pushed out.
so what i would first do is to check the mold heater to see if it is working
and if this is good than check the motor for the ejector blade and see if it is recieving power if it is have the motor itself checked to see if it is bad ok
I hope that this is very helpful for you there is still a lot more that can be checked but try these first ok
Best regards michael

Check for a leaking windshield seal. Best way is to pull back carpet and drive thru a car wash, look for leaks near kick panels. also make sure a/c drain is clear, tube located on pass side under heater box
