Question about Olympus SP-350 Digital Camera
Well, my camera was stuck open for the past few days.( I.E. It would make several clicking sounds and then "beep" "beep...." "Zoom Error" ) I tried everything, including Drizzling oil down the outer Extension cylinder (Not Recommended) but i stopped that after I realized that it might end up damaging the inner lense.

(There are 4 under the thin mettal plate on the hot shoe, two in the plug compartment, two behind each strap holder, and one under the battery compartment lid as well as some obveous ones on the side and bottom.
Then gently pull the camera apart. (Careful you dont have much slack. I proped the lcd side up on a rag)
Then take the left circuit board off. (the one over the zoom mechanism.)

Take the gears out, one by one, and clean them.
As you have already noticed, there should be white grease lining the inside of the gearbox. make sure that the grease is free of debris and add additional lubricant, if needed (such as mine did).
All done! now just reassemble your camera and
