Make sure the lever is down on the ice maker . Also , can pour about 2/3 cup of water into ice maker , so it will freeze and start the cycle . Otherwise , wait , and when the ice maker gets cold enough , it will cycle on its on to start the ice making procedure . If you get water to the door , then it's connected properly , and water will go to the ice maker , if the water valve and ice maker are in working order .

SOURCE: water to icemaker but not door

there should be two solenoid water valves in the back of the fridge one feeds the ice maker the other feeds water dispenser the one for the water could be bad or the switch in water dispenser

Water slow in door & icemaker not making ice? Whirlpool frig. & freezer side by side

Check out the water source to the refrigerator. Re the icemaker - is there water in tray? If so you need a new heater assembly. No ice? - then the water solenoid is not working.

Loud noise coming from back of Frig, when turning icemaker off noise goes away

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Is water hooked up to unit if not its the valve running dry. If it is its either the water line flexing when it calls for water or a bad fill valve also.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

I just moved and trying to hook up the icemaker/water dispenser. I see a tubing that goes from the top of the frig to the bottom, but there is no line that comes out to hook into the wall. I do not even...

Yes, it was hooked up at the last location, but I wasn't the one who put installed the frig, and the movers disconnected it, so I don't know how it was done.

GE Frig has water at door but no ice is made

Pour about 1/2 cup of water into the icemaker . If it dumps , replace the water valve . If not , replace the icemaker . Make sure the coils are clean of dust , etc... at bottom of fridge .

Not getting water from the plastic valve to the icemaker (Have water from the bottom of frig to the valve) --- any ideas? by the way the thing on the icemaker is flipped down so that is not the solution.

#1 Defective switch or thermal fuse in Icemaker not sending voltage to the valve.
#2 Defective water inlet valve
#3 Frozen fill tube to Icemaker (the tube that goes through the back wall and feeds the icemaker)

The icemaker stop working on my Whirlpool side by side frig

If there are ice cubes setting in the icemake waiting to be dumped then the icemaker is bad. If the icemake is dry then the water valve is bad. You have one water valve with two solenoids. One works water in the door and the other sends water to the icemaker.

Frig. is bussing

it sounds like your water valve for your icemaker. if you do not have it hooked to water, it makes a lot more noise. try turning off your icemaker and see if the noise quits.

Ice make problem

I THINK WHAT YOUR SAYING IS YOU HAVE ICE AND WATER IN THE DOOR AND YOUR GETTING WATER IN THE DOOR AND NO ICE,IF THE ICE TUBE IS CLEAR YOUR PROBLEM LIES IN THE INLET WATER VALVE OR THE ICE MAKER ITSELF,YOU CAN JUMP THE WATER VALVE TO SEE IF IT SHOOTS WATER TO THE ICEMAKER,FIRST PULL FRIG. OUT,REMOVE BACK PANEL,TAKE TWO LEADS OFF THE VALVE NOW GO SEE IF YOU HAVE WATER STILL COMING OUT OF THE DOOR,IF YOU DO THESE ARE THE LEADS YOU NEED,FIND A OLD POWER CORD YOU NEED TWO CLAMP FITINGS OR GATOR CLIPS,SLIP THEM ON THE TWO TERMINALS ON THE WATER VALVE ,THEN PLUG THE CORD INTO A OUTLET AND COUNT TO 5 AND UNPLUG,NOW GO TO THE ICEMAKER AND PUT YOUR HAND IN THE WELL AND SEE IF YOU FEEL WATER IF NOT YOUR VALVE IS BAD,IF THERE IS WATER IN THE WELL YOUR ICEMAKER IS BAD,GET THE MODEL NUMBER FROM INSIDE THE FRIG. AND CALL LOCAL APPLIANCES PARTS STORE AND GET THE NEW PART,LET ME KNOW-MIKE
